Holy Face of Christ

The Image of Edessa (Holy Face of Christ) is one of the most revered icons of Jesus Christ in the Orthodox tradition, symbolizing the divine origin of His countenance. According to tradition, this image was not painted by a human hand, but miraculously imprinted on a cloth (ubrus). The icon serves as a reminder of the Incarnation—that God became man and revealed His face to the world. It is considered a protector against illness and adversity.
